Study one

Have you ever felt:

• Betrayed by your romantic partner?

• Like your friend has violated your trust?

• Like a virtual stranger was just able to get under your skin?

• Or that people in your life have at times just treated you insensitively?

If so, I'd love to hear from you! In the first study for my PhD, I'm taking a closer look at how people react to events that they consider have hurt their feelings. This can range from times you have felt people could have been more sensitive up to times you have felt totally betrayed. Please note that I am only interested in events that occured in current relationships for this study. As such, I need participants who are currently in a romantic relationship.

Testing for study one - NOW OPEN

**If you are a female participant with a male partner, could you please encourage them to also participate - I am very low on male participants!**

The questionnaires for my first study have been launched and are now available for completion online. In these questionnaires, I will be asking you to either recall (questionnaire 1) or read (questionnaire 2) a number of scenarios about hurtful events and evaluate them. You will also be asked to answer a number of questions about your current relationships and your attitudes toward yourself and your relationships.

Please note that I do not require participants to complete both surveys - one or the other would be great.

I am seeking participants who are aged 18 years and over, and are currently involved in a romantic relationship. Both questionnaires should take between 45 to 60 minutes of your time. Unfortunately, it is not possible to save your progress in either questionnaire and come back to it at a later time, so please allow at least an hour to complete all of the questions in one sitting.
